Tragicomedy - A deeply moving film about a dysfunctional family trying to come together to achieve one common goal. This one had me laughing, crying and feeling so many emotions as once. It is definitely a darker film, but utterly normal. All the characters are motivated as individuals and as part of the unit.
Little Women (2019)
coming-of-age period drama
If you grew up with siblings, sisters specifically, this movie makes you feel like you are hanging out with them. You feel for every single character and want every one of them to win.
My Big Fat Greek Wedding (2002)
Romcom - As a girl who grew up in an immigrant family, this movie was always on my TV anytime I got homesick in college. It is a comedy filled with a wondrous cast of characters. The plot, dialogue and warmth this movie holds just makes you feel at home.
Last Holiday (2006)
Comedy, Drama - I have seen this movie possibly over 100 times in my life. It is a feel-good movie about not letting time pass by and making the most of every moment. This film is one that I will never get sick of, it has something for everyone!
The Wild Robot (2024)
Animation, Adventure, drama - This movie changed how I see the world. It dives into how your chosen family can fill your life with such joy and love. It made me cry, laugh and reflect on my own life. Yes, it is an animation, but it is a film for all ages.
